Story of an Artist

Most of my drawings and paintings are of animals, landscapes and portraits. I work mostly from my own studio and use a variety of painting media to create a wide array of styles.

I enjoy most genres of art, Leonardo da Vinci being my first love and still is. My other favourites include Lucien Freud, Francis Bacon, Egon Schiele, David Hockney, the Guerilla Girls, Goya, Picasso, Bettye Saar, Faith Ringgold, Barley Hendricks, plus many more.

I couldn’t imagine my life without art, and I believe it has real therapeutic value for many people. To share my passion with others, I have been involved in running art therapy sessions in the community.

I exhibit throughout the year at many venues and with the Oxford Arts Week. Some of my work is for sale and I am happy to discuss commissions, so please get in touch – annabat@hotmail.co.uk
